Who we are

What we collect, and why
When you subscribe to a title. Your name, email address and the titles you picked. We use them to send you those titles. Legal basis: your consent, given when you submit the form. You can withdraw it at any time by replying to any email or writing to us.
When you download an article PDF. Your name, email address and the article you asked for. We use them to keep a record of who has taken a copy of our analysis, which tells us which work is read and who to follow up with. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in knowing who receives our published analysis. If you also tick the digest box, we add that title to your subscription on the basis above.
The download cookie. After you register once, we set a cookie called sg_reader holding a random identifier, so the site can serve you PDFs without asking again. It contains no name or email. If you tick "Remember me on this browser" the cookie lasts one year; if you do not, it lasts until you close the browser. The cookie is set only when you submit the form; ticking the box is your consent to the one-year version. The site sets no other cookies and runs no analytics.
Where it is kept, and for how long
Records are stored with our hosting provider, Cloudflare, in its key-value store. We keep a record for 24 months after your last subscription, download or email from us, then delete it. We share it with no one, and we do not sell or trade lists.
Your rights
You can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop using it, and you can object to the download record being kept. Write to kyasuda@stargira.com; we answer within one month. If you are unhappy with our answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Changes
If this notice changes we will update the date at the top. The current version is always at stargira.com/privacy.
